CRESTVIEW – Throughout the month of April, the Dunkin’ Donuts in Crestview is one of 15 stores, nationwide, that’s been chosen for the ‘Scoop Some Cool Coffee Cash” program. Fifteen ‘randomly’ chosen customers will each win $1,000. Tuesday, Peggy Hayes, was one of those lucky people.
“You just won $1,000,” said Paul Senato, Area Manager for Dunkin’ Donuts.
“Why did I get this money,” said Peggy Hayes, the winner of the Dunkin’ Donuts contest.
Not only was Peggy given the $1,000, but she was also treated to a free Dunkin’ Donuts breakfast.
Even after a few minutes, Peggy was still shocked. “Blown away in shock. I am still like what am I doing here, I don’t know,” said Hayes. And with the events that had gone on earlier in her day, Peggy never thought this would happen to her.
“I got up to take my husband to the hospital,” said Hayes. “We got up here around 8 o’clock and they didn’t take him for over two hours and I was getting really upset, and I needed to get some breakfast and they said it was at least another two hours before I could pick him up, so I came in here, and I almost had a heart attack. So thank you, you made my day.”
