Dunkin’ Donuts
New Orleans, Louisiana — Patel runs restaurants in Florida, Alabama.
Indian American entrepreneur Vik Patel, who runs 27 restaurants in Florida, and two in Alabama, is expanding his business to a third state, in Louisiana, in partnership with Dunkin’ Donuts.
Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, announced today the signing of a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchise group, Panama City Donut Network, LLC, to develop two Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas.
The first restaurant is planned to open in Fall 2016 with the other new location planned to open in the following year, according to a press release.
Led by Patel, this team will manage and oversee the operations for each Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant. Patel, a franchisee with Dunkin’ Donuts for 9 years, currently operates 27 restaurants in Florida and two in Alabama. With this agreement, the group also purchased three existing restaurants in Baton Rouge.
We are excited to expand the brands’ presence in Louisiana and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here,
said Patel, in a statement. “We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to opening our restaurants in the years to come.”
