Panama City Beach, Fla. — It can be hard to rebuild after Hurricane Michael if you’re struggling to just get food on the table. That’s why Dunkin’ donated $20,000 to the Feeding the Gulf Coast Food Bank to support their Hurricane Michael relief efforts.

The money stems from their Community Cups program in October where customers had the opportunity to donate to the Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable organization supported by Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins.

More than 50 Dunkin’ stores across the Southeast participated in the fundraiser.

If we can take that piece away where people have to worry about food and we can help alleviate that need, then they can take care of other things they need to take care of so this $20,000 is going to go a long way to help those who are struggling,

said external relations manager for feeding gulf coast, Kyle Schoolar.

At first it was a two week program but they extended it to five after seeing the outpouring of support.
