Dunkin’ Donuts of Louisiana Hosts Fundraiser to Honor Fallen Police Officer

Dunkin’ Donuts will donate a portion of sales on July 6 to the family of Deputy David F. Michel Jr.

New Orleans, Louisiana — Dunkin’ Donuts of Louisiana announced today that it will host a fundraiser on Wednesday, July 6 at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants to honor Deputy David F. Michel Jr., a police officer who was killed outside of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Harvey, La.

On Wednesday, July 6, $1 from each dozen donuts, pound of coffee, box of K-Cup® pods, Box O’Joe® and Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake sold at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Louisiana will be donated to the Michel family.

All of us at Dunkin Donuts are deeply saddened by this tragedy and extend our thoughts and prayers to the Michel family,

said franchisee Vik Patel. “As a police officer, Deputy Michel was committed to serving his local community and we are honored to be able to support his family during this time. We hope that this fundraiser will serve as a step forward in the healing process for the entire community.”
