Nation’s Largest Urgent Care Provider Signs Multi-Unit Development Deal with Purple Square Management
TAMPA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / June 22, 2023 / American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine, is excited to announce a major franchise development deal in Florida, partnering with Vik Patel, President and CEO of Purple Square Management. Patel and his team recently acquired six existing AFC franchise locations in the Tampa area and have plans to open eighteen more locations in the region in the next five years.
“We are extremely excited to partner with Vik Patel and his amazing team at Purple Square Management Company,” says Paige Robinson, Vice President of Franchise Development for AFC. “Our Florida expansion will allow AFC to help even more people gain access to affordable and accessible healthcare.”
American Family Care offers state-of-the-art treatment across a broad range of services, including primary care. AFC medical providers treat and diagnose illnesses like the flu or a cold, COVID-19, injuries, and accidents, including broken bones, and help patients manage a variety of health conditions ranging from arthritis to diabetes to high blood pressure. AFC also offers pre-employment physicals, drug screening and treatment of work-related injuries.
“What AFC has to offer is hard to find in the franchise
space; more than 40 years of growth and success. We are a smart choice for entrepreneurs and multi-brand operators like Vik looking to grow their portfolio with an established brand in a high-performing industry,” adds Robinson.
Purple Square Management Company currently owns and operates seven different franchise concepts with more than 245 franchises across 15 states. The team is excited to add AFC to its portfolio of brands.
“Florida is the fastest growing state in the country, which means there is a lot of opportunity for us to fill a void in the healthcare arena and give patients another option for care,” says Patel. “I’m very excited about the future growth of AFC and our role with the brand. There is a lot of untapped potential in the urgent care space and AFC is leading the way to bring much-needed service to new areas of the country.”
The need for quality healthcare in the United States is a key component of American Family Care’s record-setting franchise development growth. With more than 300 clinics and 1500 in-network providers caring for more than 6 million patients a year, AFC is on track to expand to 500 locations within the next five years.
