Smalls Sliders, the mini-burger joint backed by former footballer Drew Brees, is opening up 22 franchises in Arizona. Purple Square Management (PSM) has over 250 of the burger franchises nationwide.
The group aims to open the first Phoenix store in mid-2025, with the remaining locations to follow shortly after. PSM is actively exploring potential development site opportunities in the Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Tempe areas.
The Smalls buildings are 800 square feet—a little smaller than a Dutch Brothers Coffee location. They are prefabricated, modular and come with a decorative recycled shipping container on the top. They are drive-thru only and take up very little real estate. A Smalls location could be put on a third of an acre if it is able to share parking with an adjacent shopping center or grocery store.
Smalls Sliders opened its first signature ‘Smorange’ colored store in 2019.
